8 Days Tour Morocco From Tangier Overview:
Day 1 : Tanger – Tetouan – Chefchaouen :
Our 8 days tour of Morocco from Tangier will start by driving through the Rif mountains and Tetoun city to enjoy the views of the beautiful mountains till we get to Chefchaouan one of the stunning villages at the feet of the Rif mountains. Besides, Chefchaouen Medina has a Spanish-style square surrounded by many funky arts and crafts stores, and roof-top restaurants, where you will spend your night in a nice place to enjoy the breeze and the beauty of nature.
Day 2 : Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes
After a tasty breakfast in the riad, our journey starts towards Volubilis crossing via Ouazan and other Rif villages. In Volubilis, we will discover the Roman ruins and learn about Moroccan history, then we will drive to Meknes city (the 17th-century heritage) where we will stop for lunch and we will discover the historical walls of the Medina, Bab el Mansour and we will enjoy a visit of Moulay Ismail shrine. Later in the afternoon, we head to Fes City where we will spend the night.
Day 3: Fes (8 Days Tour Morocco From Tangier)
Today we will start exploring the oldest city in Morocco, walking in its alleys and small streets. Our visit starts by visiting the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish headquarters, the first Mellah ever built in Morocco, built during the 16th century. We will ensure that you visit all sites with cultural and historical interest including the famous Al Qaraouine University, the oldest in the region, the Tanneries, the Attarine Museum, and the Moulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch, you will visit the tiles cooperative and then experience a wonderful panoramic view over the whole Medina of Fes. Night
Day 4 : Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga
After breakfast in your hotel, we will travel to Merzouga via Errachidia and Erfoud. You will be traveling through the fascinating Tiz Ntalghamt Pass and the Ziz Gorge. Then, upon approaching Errachidia, the scenery transitions to hints of the desert. Enjoy lunch and Berber hospitality in the city. Continue along Ziz Valley, pausing for panoramic views en route to Erfoud and Rissani. Arrive in Merzouga in the afternoon, where a warm welcome with mint tea awaits. Then, you will join on a camel ride to the desert camp for a night under the stars, accompanied by Berber music.
Day 5: Merzouga – Toudgha Gorges – Dades Valley (8 Days Tour Morocco From Tangier)
We wake up early to see the spectacle of the sunrise over the dunes of the Erg Chebbi before making our way back to the hotel by camel. After breakfast and shower, we’ll drive through the Saghro mountains and we will take a short walk through Todra Gorge before arriving at Dades Valley for dinner and accommodation. We spent a night in Dades Gorges, in a local riad/hotel.
Day 6 : Dades valley – Roses valley – Ouarzaette – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
After breakfast in the hotel, you will travel through the Dades Valley towards Kalaa M’gouna and Ouarzazate. This route through Dades Valley is the way of the thousand kasbahs. We will visit the cinema city of Ouarzazate and also Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, the largest Kasbah in Morocco, built by T-hami El Glaoui. Then we will drive across the High Atlas mountains and you will enjoy the panoramic view and Berber villages along the way till we reach Marrakech where we stay overnight in a local hotel.
Day 7: Marrakesh – Sightseeing(8 Days Tour Morocco From Tangier)
Today we will start exploring Marrakech ” the red city of Morocco”. Firstly, we will ensure that you see the most important sites of historical and cultural interest. This includes the Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Tower, the Saadian tombs, and the Bahia Palace. After Lunch at a local restaurant near the famous square, you will walk through the souks and you can also buy souvenirs or enjoy the art of handicrafts. Then, in the afternoon, you will have free time to discover the city by yourself.
Day 8: Transfer to the airport(8 Days Tour Morocco From Tangier)
At the end of our 8 days tour of Morocco from Tangier, depending on your flight, you will be transferred to the airport to attend your flight.
