Day 1 : Casablanca – Fes
Our 8 days private classic tour from Casablanca begins with our driver picking you up from your hotel in Casablanca. Firstly, we will explore the main cultural sights; we will visit the iconic Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world. Then you will Explore the vibrant Medina and enjoy the coastal atmosphere before we drive to Fes where we’ll stay overnight in a riad/hotel.
Day 2: Fes – Guided City Tour (8 Days private tour from Casablanca)
We will start the day exploring the oldest city in Morocco “Fes“, snaking through its alleys and narrow streets. We will begin sightseeing at the Royal Palace gate, followed by the Jewish headquarters where the first Mellah ever was built in Morocco, during the 16th century. Then we will ensure that you visit all sites with cultural and historical interest including the famous Al Qaraouine University.
We will also visit the Tanneries, the Attarine Museum, and the Moulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch, you’ll visit many different cooperatives and then, experience a wonderful panoramic view over the whole Medina of Fes before ending the night at your Riad.
Day 3 : Fes – Ilfrane – Azrou – Midelt – Merzouga
After breakfast, at your hotel in Fes, we’ll leave for Merzouga through the Mid-Atlas region passing through Ifrane, the “Switzerland” of Morocco. Up next we’ll drive a bit further to explore the cedar forests of Azrou, where you can stop to feed the Berber apes. We’ll then continue to Midelt where we’ll have lunch and then follow the Ziz River through to the Ziz Gorge (valley). Our drive proceeds across the Ziz Valley, Erfoud, and Rissani where we’ll stop to explore the souk (local market). Our day comes to a close as we arrive in Merzouga, spending the night at a local hotel
Day 4: Merzouga desert (8 Days private tour from Casablanca)
After breakfast, we’ll head out to the desert; and trade in our 4×4 for camels. Then, explore the Erg Chebbi Dunes, experiencing the nomadic Berber lifestyle. Besides, visit Khamlia for Gnawan music, savor a Berber pizza lunch in Rissani, camel ride, enjoy a desert sunset, and return to camp for a starlit night with tagine, and Berber music.
Day 5 : Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Gorge
We’ll fetch an early start to catch the sunrise in the Merzouga desert, and then return on camelback to the village. From there, we’ll leave to Tinghir, to reach the Todra Gorge, which is the highest, narrowest gorge in Morocco. Here we may stop to hike within the valley, and after lunch, in the gorge, we will continue to the Dades Gorge. Then, we’ll enjoy sand castles and also geological features called “monkey toes/feet”. We’ll spend the night in the Dades Gorge, at a local hotel
Day 6: Dades Gorge – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakesh
After breakfast, we will drive towards Ouarzazate passing through the route of a thousand Kasbahs (fortresses). Besides, during our 8 days private tour from Casablanca, we’ll lunch in Kalaat Mgouna, and explore the famed Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. Then, the journey goes through the Tizi-n-Tichka pass to reach Marrakesh for an overnight stay in a local riad/hotel.
Day 7: Marrakech guided tour (8 Days private tour from Casablanca)
Today we’ll have a guided tour of Marrakesh. Firstly, you will explore Marrakesh’s highlights, including Jamma el Fna Square, Kotubia mosque, souks, and museums. Then, visit Fes Jdid, discover Gueliz, The Menara Gardens, and Marjolle, and then return to your hotel.
Day 8: Marrakesh – Casablanca airport
Today depends on your flight schedule. Firstly, you will discover the less touristic areas of Marrakesh and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in the afternoon. Afterward, transfer to your hotel or the airport to conclude our 8 days private classic tour from Casablanca.
