7 Days Tour from Fes to Merzouga Overview:
Day 1: Fes (7 Days Tour from Fes to Merzouga)
Day 2: Ifrane, Midelt, and Erfoud
On the second day, we will leave Fes and head south towards the Middle Atlas Mountains. Along the way, we will pass through the charming city of Ifrane, often called “Little Switzerland” due to its European-style architecture. Then we will continue through the scenic landscapes of the Middle Atlas, including cedar forests and picturesque towns until you reach Midelt. Afterward, drive through the Ziz Valley and arrive in Erfoud, known for its fossil industry. In the end, we will spend the night in a hotel.
Day 3: Merzouga Desert (7 Days Tour from Fes to Merzouga)
Today is the highlight of our trip as our way to the mesmerizing Merzouga Desert. We will Drive through the striking Saharan landscapes, passing dramatic dunes and captivating vistas. Then, in Merzouga, enjoy a camel ride, a sunset over the dunes, and a night in a traditional desert camp with Berber music, stargazing, and an authentic dinner.
Day 4: Merzouga Desert Exploration
On this day we will wake up early to witness the magical sunrise over the desert, painting the dunes with hues of gold. After breakfast, we will have the opportunity to further explore the desert. Then we are going to take a walk in the dunes and visit nearby nomadic communities to learn about their way of life. Besides, we will enjoy another night in the desert camp, surrounded by the tranquility of the Sahara.
Day 5: Ouarzazate and Ait Ben Haddou
On this day we are going to leave the desert behind and drive to Ouarzazate, often referred to as the “Hollywood of Africa” due to its film studios and the nearby Atlas Studios. After that, we will Visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Then we will explore the Kasbah’s narrow alleys and learn about its fascinating history. Overnight stay in a riad or hotel in the area.
Day 6: Marrakech
Today, we will continue our journey to Marrakech, Morocco’s vibrant “Red City”. Firstly, we will explore the bustling Djemaa el-Fna square, and visit historical landmarks such as the Bahia Palace and the Koutoubia Mosque. Then we will enjoy traditional Moroccan cuisine and spend the night in a riad or hotel in Marrakech.
Day 7: Return to Fes
After breakfast, depart from Marrakech and begin our journey back to Fes. Firstly, you will explore the enchanting High Atlas Mountains, traversing scenic viewpoints and charming towns. Then, our 7 days tour from Fes to Merzouga ends in Fes.
