Day One: Marrakech – High Atlas – Kasbah Telouet – Ounila Valley – Ait Benhaddou Kasbah – Ouarzazate

For the departure of 5 Days Tour from Marrakech to Merzouga, our driver guide will pick you up from your accommodation and drive through the Atlas Passes. On the road, we will make stops to enjoy the stunning views of the Atlas Mountains and Tizi N’tichka Pass (2260m). We will arrive at a small Berber village Telouet, in this village we’ll visit the Telouet Kasbah built in the 18th and 19th centuries for the powerful el Glaoui family; Telouet Kasbah is a rare sight to behold. Adorned in colorful mosaics and red stucco, the Kasbah had a strategic location on the caravan trail.

Take a rest there to have lunch in a local restaurant. Later we will drive to Ouarzazate city along the stunning Ounila valley passing via Berber villages to reach the ancient Kasbah Ait-Benhaddou. This fortified walled city was built right on the caravan path between Marrakech and the Sahara and was once a thriving trading post during the 17th century. Inside the high mud walls are 6 Kasbahs and a small number of homes. Ait Benhaddou has appeared in several movies, including Gladiator & Lawrence of Arabia. In the afternoon we will visit Atlas Studios in Ouarzazate. Dinner & overnight will be in a hotel / or Riad in Ouarzazate.

Day Two: Ouarzazate – Rose Valley – Dades Valley – Tinghir – Todra Gorges– Erfoud – Erg-Chebbi Dunes (Merzouga)

After breakfast, our 5 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga heads to Ouarzazate, the “door of the Sahara desert.” Explore Kasbah Taourirte before a scenic drive through Rose Valley, Dades Valley, and Todra Valley.

Later, we reach Todra Gorge, a chilly canyon popular with climbers due to its towering orange cliffs. Continuing to the Sahara via Berber villages like Tinjdad and Erfoud, we arrive at the mesmerizing dunes of Merzouga for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day Three: Desert Tour – Merzouga Lake – Khamliya Village – Nomad Family – Camel trekking & Overnight in desert camp

After breakfast, explore Erg-Chebbi dunes, including Merzouga Lake, Khamliya village for African music, the black desert, an abandoned village with fossils, and a nomadic Berber family for a diverse desert experience. Then After a delicious lunch in Khamliya, embark on a Camel Trekking Adventure through orange-hued dunes to the desert camp. Enjoy the soulful experience, witness a stunning sunset, and spend the night in the camp with music, frolic, and stargazing.

Day Four: Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Middle Atlas – Midelt (5 Days Tour from Marrakech to Merzouga)

Following a sunrise camel ride, return to Merzouga village before immersing yourself in the vibrant market of Rissani, particularly lively on market days (Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays). Continue the journey through Erfoud, Aoufous, and the picturesque Ziz Valley, adorned with a lush oasis. Progressing further, the route leads to Midelt through Errachidia and the Middle Atlas Mountains. Conclude the day with a delightful dinner and an overnight stay at a Midelt hotel.

Day Five: Midelt – Cedar Forest – Ifrane City – Fes 5 Days Tour from Marrakech to Merzouga)

After breakfast, commence the journey from Midelt to Fes through the picturesque Middle Atlas, providing breathtaking mountain views. Pause at the Cedar Forest, renowned for its colossal apes, before continuing to Ifrane, often called “the Switzerland of Morocco,” where a brief stop is in order.
