A delightful lunch at a local restaurant introduces you to Moroccan flavors. Upon reaching Fes, Morocco’s cultural heart, immerse yourself in the medina’s narrow streets, lively souks, and architectural wonders before a restful night at your Fes hotel.
On the second day, we will awake in the early morning, energized by the anticipation of reaching the Merzouga. On our road, this amazing place we will discover southward unveils the diverse landscapes of the Middle Atlas Mountains and vast plains. Then we will have a stop for lunch in a local town that introduces you to more Moroccan culinary delights. As you approach Merzouga, the landscape transitions dramatically into the arid beauty of the Sahara. Upon arrival, the iconic Erg Chebbi dunes stand as a testament to the desert’s allure. After that we will have a camel trek into the dunes and welcome the sunset, vividly painting the horizon. Then the night is spent at a traditional desert camp, indulging in a Moroccan feast, traditional music, and the enchantment of desert stargazing.
On the third day, our return journey from Merzouga to Tangier commences with a breathtaking sunrise over the dunes. Following a hearty breakfast, a serene camel ride back allows us to savor the Sahara’s tranquility one last time. As we embark on the road back to Tangier, the journey offers reflective moments on the extraordinary experiences. Additionally, a strategic stop at a local restaurant satisfies both hunger and the desire to enhance our Moroccan culinary repertoire.
