3 Days Tour from Fes to Marrakech

Day 1:Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga Dunes (Erg Chebbi)

Pick up from your Fes riad/Hotel at 8:00 a.m by your driver, departure to Merzouga where the dunes of Erg Chebbi are located. An 8 8-hour journey that takes you across the Atlas Mountains to southern Morocco’s largest oasis; Tafilalet; composed of many villages, palmeries, and 2 main Saharan towns, Erfoud and Rissani.

Our journey includes stops at Ifrane, the Azrou cedar forest with monkeys, lunch in Midelt, and the breathtaking Ziz Valley with its palm trees amidst the Sahara. Then we’ll head for the Erg Chebbi dunes.

Venturing further into the desert landscape, we continue until the dunes emerge seemingly in the middle of nowhere. The adventure peaks with an Overnight Camel Trek, leading us to a Berber-tented camp.

Day 2:Erg Chebbi – Todra Gorges – Skoura – Ouarzazate

After having breakfast, the camel treks back to the hotel at the dune line for a quick shower. Then we will join our drive to Ouarzazate, we’ll pass through the impressive Todra Gorges, towering at 300 meters. Here, you can enjoy a peaceful hike and savor lunch at a local restaurant along the way.

Continuing our journey, we traverse the Road of 1000 Thousand Kasbahs, where enormous kasbahs line both sides of the road. Some of those old fortified houses are restored; unfortunately, a lot of them are ruins. Continuing our journey, we’ll pass through the Dades Valley and the City of Roses. Next, we’ll explore the Skoura palmary, where a multitude of Kasbahs, such as “Amrhidil,” are surrounded by gardens and palm trees. Traveling 45km further, we reach Ouarzazate for dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3:Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – High Atlas – Marrakech

After breakfast, indulge in a visit to cinema sets and studios in Ouarzazate, often referred to as Hollywood. Following this cinematic exploration, we’ll pause for lunch in the charming Ait Benhaddou village. There, you can explore the renowned UNESCO site, a backdrop for films like Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia. Our journey back to Marrakech via the Tichka pass will mark the conclusion of our 3 days tour from Fes to Marrakech.
